How different industries use video technologies

Traditionally the appearance of an IP camera pushes people to think about security issues. But in fact, an IP camera is a much more important tool that can solve many more problems than just theft proof or supervising your stuff.

1. Retail

IP cameras can be used in retail for customers counting, analyzing their preferences depending on which section of the store attracts more customers. We had organized the system of IP cameras for a store that helped analyze customer’s behavior, and also covered product placement issues — the goods were simply rearranged to the most crowded areas.

2. Security

For the security sector, we had a project of optimizing the process of passing cars through the gates for Balitower, which allowed them to reduce the number of personnel and made the processes faster and more convenient. The securities don’t have to go out and read the car license plates anymore in order to open the gates, they just need the IP cameras with decent picture quality, and all of the processes can be done remotely.

3. Manufacturing

Cement manufacture, one of our other customers, use video services in order to capture the production processes. If a defect occurs with the final product, they can always watch the documented process of manufacturing the said product. In addition, the system of video data analysis sends an alert when an error occurs. Thus, production documentation greatly simplifies the process of identifying errors in the production process.

4. Tourism

Video surveillance can also be useful in the tourism industry. We’ve organized a system of video streaming for a ski resort. In real-time, people arriving at the resort can choose which slope to go on, which ski lifts have long queues, and so on. It can be done from their smartphone screens. Of course, this makes rest at the resort more convenient and enjoyable. We also organized video streaming from Thailand resorts with WLTT, which covers similar functions.
